Green Hills Rotary - “Service Above Self”

The Green Hills Rotary service organization has provided over a decade of charitable volunteer work to assist many of our less fortunate Davidson and surrounding county residents.

Through the following programs, the Green Hills Rotary puts its motto into action.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee Backpack Program

Green Hills Rotary volunteers provide assistance to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee through the Back Pack program. Through sponsorship and many volunteer hours free, nutritious and easy to prepare food is packed in back packs for weekend and vacation periods which are then provided to hungry Davidson county children when other resources are not available.

Share Your Life

The Green Hills Rotary Share Your Life program has received national recognition for its efforts to raise awareness for Americans about the importance of organ and tissue donation. Coordinated by impassioned Green Hills Rotarians whose lives have been saved through transplants, this program continues to help save lives.

Wheelchair Ramp Building

Green Hills Rotary volunteers working with organizations such as the United Cerebral Palsy of Middle Tennessee participate in the Wheelchair Ramp Building Program. Green Hills Rotary provides both financial and construction support to complete ramps for individuals with mobility disabilities. This program replaces home bound isolation with the option for mobility.

St. Lukes Mobile Meals

Green Hills Rotary volunteer drivers provide weekly assistance to the St Luke’s Mobile Meals program. Free hot, nutritious meals are delivered by Rotarians to low income seniors and disabled community residents.

Martha O’Bryan Center Holiday Program

Green Hills Rotary volunteers, through the Martha O’Bryan Center, provide a visit from Santa Claus with a special gift for a needy girl or boy whose family may not be able to provide many gifts for their children.
